How To Have a Great Memorial Day!
Those were great tips! Re dogs...they need American cheese, yellow mustard and mayo mixed together into one sauce, diced white onion, and diced extra sour dill pickles. OR...tangy, vinegary bbq sauce, diced red onion, and mayo-heavy cole slaw. Both options on a buttered, toasted bun of course 😋
I agree with the date thing. We’ve been huge fans of Quattro de Mayo in my family for years. The decorations are up, there’s no wait for tables, and they’re not gonna run out of ANYTHING that day.
As for grill lines, I’m agnostic on that one - I can really go either way. I tell you, though, kids don’t! I coach basketball and at our summer camp I grill the dogs and if there is a HINT of brown on them I get kids coming up to me holding out their dog like I handed them a poop sandwich, telling me they need a new one ‘cause “THIS ONE’S BURNT!” So if you’ve got kids at your cookout I’d say have some boiled ones handy or the whining will about knock you on your ass.
