There are pictures from times when things were rough and the world seemed about to end. Many of them show us working to find a way out of a mess or a war. Today the photos only show how divided we are. I love what you wrote.
Your essay, Too Many Pictures, hits the nail on the head. We should, as was said previously, take off our blinders, take out our ear plugs, take our heads out of the sand, roll up our sleeves, and get to work = TOGETHER. When we do so, we will be able to make this world a better place and we can help one another. We also need to get on our knees and Pray! We need to ask God for His help for our families, our communities, our nation, and our world. We need to ask God for His protection, His wisdom, and His blessings! Thank you for your continuing ponderings. They are very much appreciated!
I love it. (And I always wanted to start a podcast called "Things Were Always Awful (You Just Didn't Hear About 'Em)" - sounds like this would be a perfect theme song.
