Hey all! Hope the weather is as good where you are as it is where I am. The pollen has been whippin my hind end as of late but the rain washed some of it away and I can now breathe through ONE of my nostrils!

Anywho, today I was walking around the woods pondering the stuff I normally ponder about while surrounded by Civil War statues and the like, and I sat down on a stump and wrote this song. I hope you enjoy it:)

It is the way it is

It’s always been this way

Sometimes the sky is blue

Sometimes the sky is gray

It ain’t some fabled curse

As far as I can figure

The world ain’t gettin worse

We just see too many pictures

People still all suck

The way they sucked before

Bumper stickers on a truck

Used to say “F*ck Albert Gore!”

It ain’t nothing new

Reckon why you don’t remember?

It’s cause you didn’t have your phone

And there weren’t that many pictures

Now it don’t mean that we can’t try

To make the world a little better

While the desert gets more dry

And the ice caps all get wetter

But when you think that we’re all doomed

I’d just like you to remember

We’ve been doomed a bunch before

There just weren’t that many pictures

CRF

Have a great rest of your day, and expect more from me this week. ❤️

There are pictures from times when things were rough and the world seemed about to end. Many of them show us working to find a way out of a mess or a war. Today the photos only show how divided we are. I love what you wrote.
