Hey everyone! Had a whole lot to say today about Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit’s new album Weathervanes. That got me going on the myth that you have to be miserable to make great art! Then I had to tell yall about my experience with an Army recruiter at a chicken restaurant in Alabama 😂😂😂

I guess I’m in the minority here because I enjoy the golf talk. My husband is a golf fanatic and I guess it has rubbed off on me over the years. I’m always sharing your takes with him, so I sure appreciate the golf chats!
THAT'S what happened to Rickie Fowler? I was asking my husband about him the other weekend when he was watching one of the tournaments. He couldn't even place him. "Rickie Fowler. The guy that started out really young and always wore brightly colored coordinated outfits." "Yeah, no, can't place him." "Really, REALLY?!" Good on him for not giving up.
So funny about the mental gymnastics about Barack Obama! I lived in a town called Wachula Florida in 2008, we had a weekly newspaper that came out the day after Obama won the Presidency and the headline said "McCain wins Hardee County", lmao!! I was definitely the odd one out! Additionally I grew up in Manatee County Fl, 7 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and there is no better vacation than on the Gulf! I also used Desitin on my tattoos while laying in the sun. I am so glad you had a great vacation!
Great rant, but I have to disagree with you on one point. You absolutely move people Corey. When you make someone laugh you move them away from stress, sadness, loneliness, obsessing on all the shit going on in this world, or whatever they are dealing with. It’s your gift kiddo.

Speaking of Florida . . . I’m glad I live as far from there as possible and still be in the lower 48! I have no plans to visit there, but I wonder what reactions I’d get if I wore my “Ban Guns Not Books” T-shirt!! 😯
Jason Isbell's Weathervanes is definitely a work of art. The themes are dark but they are so strikingly accurate to the times we are living. I've listened - and cried - to it multiple times since it came out.
I have missed quite a bit..still catching up. So congrats on the new baby; Happy Father’s Day and thank you for continuing to share your time, wit and thoughts with all of is! Skeeew!
