Sounds great. Good bit.

I think it takes a certain heartlessness and willingness to step over the masses to get to those obscene levels of wealth and power, politics included. The exceptions are few and far between because truly nice people are too empathetic to turn a total blind eye to those in need.

Neil Diamond is mega rich & a great guy. Then, Mark Cuban (owner of the Mavericks) is a billionaire & has started his own pharmaceutical company, making prices way lower for many prescriptions for ordinary people. Hey Corey, please come do some comedy in KC! 🦋

I think most people don't START as bags of shit. Along the way to their billions, though, they most definitely become said bags of shit.

McKenzie Scott, Jeff Bezo’s ex, is a very decent billionaire. She’s given away lots of money to great and varied causes. Though problematic, Bill Gates has done some very good work in the world.

Preach Brother Corey! You were spot on about Oprah. I agree that she had a platform that she used to promote snake oil salesmen like Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz. I have never been able to watch her shows her specials.

Thanks for taking some post 'Airs' air with us! You know you'd hope there would be fewer POS anti-semites in fashion nowadays, but John Galliano was the creative director at Dior until 2011 when a video surfaced of him drunkenly bitching out some Jewish women abt how much he loved Hitler. I guess at least he lost his post at Dior, but he got another directorship at another fashion house 🥴

I don't think there are any billionaires that make the *idea* of a billionaire worth it for me, except I guess maybe secret billionaire Alfred Pennyworth, and he is tragically fictional.

There are 2 flash games called Spend Bill Gates' Money/Spend Jeff Bezos' Money that really hit home how much money they have, and what they *could* choose to do with it for good, and still have more money than god left over. I can't recommend people try these games if they have high blood pressure bc...whew boy 😵‍💫

Tom Steyer. George Soros, which is really interesting. I only learned about him because he is the “symbol of the Lefties”

I’m a first wave Gen X’er. I remember the show “Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous,” it started in the 80’s. During the 80’s, 90’s and 2010’s, us Americans, for the most part, believed that rich people were smarter, better and deserved that wealth all on their own.

We are now waking up as a society that just being rich, does not make you better. #moderndayrobberbarons

You and Paul Krugman are thinking along sort of the same lines. See his NYT piece today.

I think George Clooney is a pretty decent fellow. Married a powerful woman who is much smarter than him. Generally sticks up for good causes. Doesn't hurt that he's handsome. 😅
