I had to leave my shows in Raleigh early to drive home and be with family and friends as our little circle deals with an unexpected tragedy As y’all know, round here we take care of our people, so for the next few days I will be focusing on being a great friend, father, husband, etc

I don't expect you to do this at all but I just wanna say I really wanna hear that baby's laugh. Because you got a good laugh and hearing it in squeaky baby tones would hit.

It's sort of ... weird? to think of oneself as part of an invisible family, but I do.
You take care of yourself, now and afterwards. I think the afterward part is unexpectedly the hardest to deal with -- after the cupcakes and casseroles have been eaten and the family and friends have gone home, and you're left at the kitchen table, still in possession of and possessed by the Awful Fact.
But your fans are here, and that includes me. Wish I could send a more tangible hug.
