The Holiday Weight Gain Blues

A Poem

If I eat another carb

It’s likely I will die

But can you have rhubarb

If it isn’t in a pie?

The last 6 things I ate

Haven’t even reached my butt

Yet I grab another plate

And send it down my gut

Cobblers, cakes, and cookies

When will the madness end?

Gluttony may take a heavy toll

But it’s by far my favorite sin

What makes an egg be deviled?

They seem like God to me!

boy I feel a bit disheveled

And i’m bereft of energy

But we’re almost through December

We should all feel so relieved!

Ahh shit, I just remembered

We still have New Year’s Eve!
