Living in gardening zone 4 in Wisconsin, yeah, I totally get enjoying the unseasonably warm days that pop up between November and April while simultaneously realizing it's due to climate change that I, as the little guy, can't really do much about. I feel good about throwing my food scraps on the compost pile and recycling what I can, but I know it's a mere blip compared to the responsibility big business *should* be taking on but don't/won't. Double-edged sword, man. Double. Edged. Sword.

I get nosebleeds, too, but they aren't pollen/allergy related. FINALLY invested in a cool-mist humidifier this week after decades of dealing with dry winter air and, OMG, what a difference!

Meanwhile, in northern Idaho… 12° this morning with snow still on the ground and you take your life in your hands just trying to walk (slide) down the driveway. It IS sunny and beautiful out which makes us wonder if we will have an early spring, but then. 12°.

God? Not the one in whose name millions have been slaughtered. Not the one whose religious leaders call for exclusion and retribution. Not the one whose clergy take money from the people who can ill afford to give it and spend it on expensive cars and houses. But some ever present energy that we all have a piece of in our very cells, yes. Some cosmic particles that make up all of us and that knowing that we are all one with each other and the universe.

Later I’ll put on my snow boots and go to the grocery store and the chiropractor. Maybe I’ll do laundry.

Have an awesome weekend!

Yeah, right now, two -- count 'em -- two good male friends are dealing with colorectal cancer and a third one is probably going to have a second go-round with bladder cancer and I'm tempted to run outside, look up skywards and yell "HEY JEHOVAH!!!! KNOCK IT OFF!!!"

But I'm home today, no where to go and it's raining which makes a delightfully soothing sound on the roof. And the cats aren't fighting. And I might get the kitchen cleaned up today...

Looking forward to the Asheville show.

Maybe it means if no one ever makes plans then life will never be able to happen for anyone else? A sort of "Omelas."

Anyway, I think the question of whether or not there is a god is independent of whether or not any religion has correctly guessed what that god might be like. I'm ~99% sure there isn't a god but I'm 100% sure no religion has accurately described it, if there is one, because they all rely entirely on projection and wishful thinking instead of actual divine inspiration (since that wasn't available).
