Wonderful! My daughter is 46 and I still remember and cherish those days. There are so many amazing things ahead of you than you can imagine.
I know lots of people are giving you advice but that’s not going to stop me. You mentioned that some people’s babies are tyrants, crying all the time. There’s this thing that has long been called colic. Most everyone thought it was a stomach ache. It’s now known that it’s a developmental stage. Starting at about 6 weeks, they can have inconsolable crying. Nothing’s wrong, not much you can do to fix it. Here’s the fun part, it can last until their 3 to 4 months. Just know it doesn’t make you a bad parent or that your boy is any less perfect. It’s a good time to invite g-ma over to hold him while you go for a walk.
Congratulations! Listen, you said your wife ended up getting a C-section, please make sure when she's healed that she starts working out her core muscles to rebuild them. No one told me to and I have back problems now. Best wishes to all of you ☺️
I, like you was very nervous about the first time we brought our baby home. It was a bright sunny day and a hour and a half drive on the day after a major Rocky Mountain snowstorm. Could not wait to get my wife and young son home that day safely !
I took his first two years off from work to have these times that you will never get back. So do it and you will not ever regret it.
Stay strong, get your rest, your going to need it.
Omg! He is absolutely adorable!!! Congratulations to you and your wife. You are doing the right thing by taking time off. Enjoy every single second. They grow so very fast
