My son lost his best friend in ‘20 to an overdose.
He was the first friend that actually wanted to be friends with him.
He met him in 9th grade. My son struggled in his younger years with learning disabilities that brought in bullies to his life. Or, the kids he did spend time with just hung out to play sports with him. He never had an actual friend that would ask if he wanted to hang at the beach or go to a movie.
Alex was the first one.
Even though my son has many obstacles and challenges in this world, his heart and courage are huge.
He sometimes goes to visit his friend’s parents. He wants to feel close to him.
i have never touched recreational drugs including goofy juice or the funny cigarettes, but now that i’ve been diagnosed with adhd and prescribed adderall which i can’t always get refilled on time due to texas’s cool controlled substance laws i’ve still gotten to experience a lot of withdrawal and other shit that makes me feel like an addict
