I’ve been thinking about it every day since listening to it and your perspective on folks in your district and how and why they may have voted for that human garbage bag was truly insightful and allowed a little dash of hope for the future to seep into the shitty revelation that she’s not going away yet. Btw, I have this theory that she’s taking steroids for her cross fit obsession and part of her anger (and maybe what gave her leather skin on her face) is ‘roid rage. I'm not so surprised by the outcome of the Georgia elections as I am pissed off that Chase Oliver is the reason a really important runoff is happening.
Meh, TN is screwed w/ Lee re-elected as Governor. Which is SHOCKING bc he’s not exactly an active Governor. I BARELY heard ANYTHING from him during 2020, but even though I’m central ab abortion, he’s against it no matter the circumstance! Now that he’s the projected winner and Reps have the House (as of this post), I’m further concerned about birth control. I’m already fighting w/ insurance over having to take 2 different pills and skipping periods (they don’t understand WHY I need two different pills and consider skipping the placebo pills to starting a new pack as taking more than prescribed) so screw it, I’m just going to fight to have a partial hysterectomy. Not worried about pregnancy, I’m almost 41 and pretty sure my eggs are about to turn to dust, it’s bc of the HORRIBLE experience every month where I’m hemorrhaging for two weeks every month. I don’t have the money to pay for my pills, $190 just for ONE pack for ONE month, idk how much the 2nd pack will cost but a damn hysterectomy will be cheaper in the long run! But John Doe over here needs to get a hard on so he’s totally covered. I never knew lack if sex was considered a medical condition until now.
You might want to check out a youtube channel called "Beau of the Fifth Column". He's a socialist who lived in northern rural Florida, talks a lot about building community networks, politics, and explaining world news. Pretty good about giving suggestions about helping people out of information silos.
Christofascists got our public library defunded because they *believe* that having queer references in the youth/children’s portion of the library means that queer ppl are...a word I’m not gonna use in the Substack comments section. Belief is a helluva drug. Especially when it’s not tied to Truth.
