Woohoo for audiobooks and signed copies! Can’t wait! I’m always impressed with your work ethic and how you continue to come up with creative and quality ways to connect with your audience.

Thanks for taking the time and continuing to answer these questions ...I should have known it was that killjoy Drew’s fault that Bubba went away. 😂 I feel like a petition is in order.

About your writing style -- I think you do one helluva fine job being YOU. (I say this as one of the self-elected pain-in-the-ass people who jumps on your misspellings -- and by the way, on Puttin' on Airs tonight, you said you were a "fearful" comedian. No, you are not fearful. You are FEARSOME.)

Well, if I'd listened to my mother, I would have become that underpaid figure of fun, the old maid high school teacher...

I used to aim for a very tight, concise writing style but at some point, the lightbulb switched on and I decided to express myself the same way I talk and/or write letters. (Yes, I used to write letters. I'm probably the last person on the planet who did.)

Of course, my late mother had a terrible habit of butting into one of my garrulous narratives with "get to the point! get to the point!" (She thought Hemingway ran on a bit. And you didn't want to get her started on Faulkner...)

I am counting the days until your next book comes out and if I need to attend two different shows in order to have the book autographed, I will do so, with pleasure.

My late father had colon cancer -- I went to see him two days after the operation and he was telling me how half of his colon had been removed. "Oh," I said, "does that mean you are now the proud possessor of a semi-colon?" "Oh, you are a sweet little thing, aren't you..."

Thanks bunches, Corey! Yep, we’re all friends here. Your stacker posts are bright spots in this otherwise stressed out world.

PS...as a nurse, I know where colons go too 😁😁😁

Speakin on Well Red - I think the great thing about podcasting now is we still get our fill of the (hittin) chemistry you guys have, literally every week and you guys don't need to be in the same place. I can't imagine the logistical ballache of getting 2 or 3 dudes with babies around the country in this day and age. It's cool you guys can still keep things going. Gravy Baby has really hit its stride too. The Well Red universe is doing just fine - the touring days were just the first couple chapters in a long book. Keep it up!

Thanks, Corey! I so appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts. "Don't Know Words Too Good" is one of my favorite bits of satire, ever. Hilarious, jaw-jackin', and beautiful--shuckin' beans with cousins, yep, that was every summer. Also, y'all is legit "you, plural," period, and I say that as a former English teacher. So there. Love David Sedaris as well. Super excited to hear that you're doing an audio version of your book! So much of that poppin' humor is in your delivery. Can't wait! Hope Y'ALL have a great weekend!

As a native Northwesterner, I never use “y’all” in writing or in person, but always thought it literally meant “you all,” plural. Several years ago I was the only person in a store in Texas, and the saleswoman addressed me as “y’all.” Lightbulbs went off. It can be singular!

In Pennsylvania a local guy referred to me and my friends as “yous.”

I love words!

When someone calls me "y'all" I figure that person is just acknowledging my multiple personalities.

Same! :) Yoonz and youz, too! You're right about y'all, though. It's flex-y!
