today I just felt like waxing poetic about societies greatest group of people: The Elderly! Truth be told, my granny woulda been 103 this week and she’s been on my mind! Sure do miss that lady:) Sorry for anything stupid I said, I’m not sure I took a breath! 🤣
🤣😂 I never buy paper towels for my house. I traveled with my late husband (RIP Nestor Ramos aka El Gato 11/18/2022) to 32 different states while he was building racks in different factories. I always take the paper towels from the gas stations. Don't travel much anymore but I steal the paper towels almost subconsciously.
I told my papaw that he had no reason to STILL be racist after all the civil rights discussions he’s lived through. Never saw him speechless in my life before or since, rest his soul.
This 68 year old has not received her Werther’s candies. What the hell??? She has been receiving her Vermont Country Store catalog, so that’s on the old folks list, right?
Missing my grandparents led me to volunteer at Meals on Wheels and then sell my business, become a gerontology social worker and therapist. Now I spend my days singing the oldies to and with Alzheimer's patients and fighting elder abuse. I hear you Cory!!
I miss my mother. Covid took her at the age of 106 years young. I’m not young either and am loving my screwball life. Young at heart is what counts. Please listen to the older generation as they can be fun and have some crazy life stories to tell.
I made the mistake of eating a bran muffin and washing it down with apple juice as a pre-work breakfast.

P.S. I've found that mixing a sugar-free Coastal Bay butterscotch with a sugar-free Coastal Bay peppermint starlight mint tastes just like those after-dinner pastel buttermints you'd grab by the handful out of supper club cash register candy bowls.
Well this 67 yo hippie grew up an Army brat. Dad,Puerto Rican, mom,Berlin. He was stationed in Berlin and that's how it started. I grew up around all kinds of people. We didn't see color we saw how much mischief we could get into. When my dad retired here in Ft. Oglethorpe, there wasn't 1 person of color, which blew my mind. We were raised to look at the character of a person. Times sure have changed. Thank goodness for the devils lettuce.
Kefir milk or your choosing and two tablespoons of chia seeds. You won’t have to worry about tryin to work one up... that fiber will set you straight, and it’s got omegas and probiotics. Because gut health is impootant.
Omega 3s can also help with depression. I started taking fish oil to get Omega 3s years ago, and my "floor" went way up. I still take my meds too, but it has made a real difference.
