No apologizing! I was the last person to talk to one of my friends before he was killed back in 2012, and this brought all that back - in a good way. We were giving each other hell, and with the benefit of years I'm glad that was one of his last interactions on this earth. I hope you find some peace with this, Corey. Take your time. We don't need you to be funny right now, just real.

There's a book called Denial of Death (by Becker) that kind of delves into this. Sheldon Solomon used to give talks about it if reading the whole thing is not feasible (I tried. It uses a lot of 70's psychology pompousness so I didn't make it far).

But also, death is not weird. Life is weird. The overwhelming majority of the universe is dead.
