I am in complete agreement. The Dems are in disarray. There is no one in the wings to take Biden's place. Kamala polls worse than Joe and Gavin Newsom polls lower than her. Michelle Obama would have a 13 point lead over Trump, and she does not want to run. I live in Texas and I will knock on doors and do what I can to get Dems to the polls. Vote for the administration, not the man. Just read Project 2025. Google Project 2025 pdf and you can find a link to the doc. It's scary! Keep preaching. Love you.

A good jester reminds nobility of their tether to reality. Sure, the main instrument is entertainment, but the message is usually meant to remember the people. It’s a damn delicate art to try to find something that doesn’t anger the mob, keeps the ruling authorities appeased, and have a message worth messaging. You may be the recipient of quite a few pitchforks in the process because we went all the way back to feudal politics where my kings golf score is better than your kings golf score. That should make any non-biased individual scratch their heads, but… 2024… I guess…

Keep on keepin on man. The role of the jester is critical in keeping society social and remind people of their shared identity. They ain’t a U.S. without us. Whether or not we see that reality is based on our influences, so as long as you’re influencing for good don’t mind the pitchforks. The holes will make you more aerodynamic or something. Whistle when you enter a room. Bunch of advantages. Can consider yourself more holey… I think I’m done here…

Keep doing the good work, you’re doing fine.

No, everything you do is NOT stupid.

I remember playing your post-Insurrection rant to a friend who (much to my surprise) visibly cringed. "He's so... ANGRY." Well gottdamn, all of us should be angry. Your anger informs AND entertains and shit-fire WE NEED IT. Thank you again.

People looking older than what age they are: I've noticed this with my mother's high school photographs -- everyone looked about thirty years old. (they had waistlines, too.) However the clothing industry hadn't gotten around to designing "teen" wardrobes and these kids were also dealing with the Great Depression. Some of them probably were wearing their father's clothes or their mother's hand-me-downs. Some kids probably weren't even there because they had to leave school and go to work at age 14. Hell's bells, my darling Daddy was teaching school when he was nineteen years old! How many nineteen-year-olds do YOU know that could teach high school math AND keep order? (He was big, tall, and sarcastic, so discipline was not a problem for him.)

People were forced to grow up faster back then and now it seems that everyone clings to youth well past the sell-by date. My dearly beloved English professor fought in World War II (2nd wave D-Day, Battle of the Bulge) and he looked like he was twelve years old. (I think he was eighteen.)

If the Dems replace Biden, it means that Trumpitbulls will have to come up with new jokes. The effort might make a few heads explode. I'd pay to see that!

Recently, I read a question online -- if you were alive then, what do you miss about the sixties? And God help me, the first thing I thought was "Lee Harvey Oswald."

pray for me...

Thanks for this rant. It really is so disheartening to see DEMs fail to put winnable candidates up. They should have gotten a stronger candidate to pass the baton to. Of course, voting for Joe and his administration but terrified.

Hi Corey! Thanks for your work! We love ya! I'm a 56 year old, female and I agree 100%. I've lived in tiny Carrollton, Ga my entire life and my husband most.of his life, so as you know well, my husband and I are in a red zone. I want to have hope and stay positive because we've met more hippie folk here like us lately, but we are clutching our passports to our bosom after the debate (which we also didn't watch) and yesterday's Supreme Court decision. I never want to leave my country, but this is fucking terrifying. We are just taking it day by day, trying to stay positive. ✌️😊✌️
