My husband and I still use "That tree is really far away" as shorthand for when we've said something the other person didn't hear and it's so totally not worth repeating. Mitch might be the only comedian to have crept into my nearly everyday vernacular. God I miss him. Got to see him live at a college show in middle Tennessee not long before he left us all.
