It started me thinking about how a classic comedy like The Honeymooners would never in a million years be in production today due to its cavalier portrayal of spousal abuse. Which isn’t funny. At all. BTW, that is quite different from poking some non-malicious fun at spousal foibles 🙂 Thank you for giving us all a bit of levity in our lives.
I think the sitcom portrayal of couples may find its roots in the relationship between Zeus and Hera.
