Hey all! Today’s joke comes from one of the greatest comedians of all time and the man who paved the way for slack-jawed yokels like myself, Mr. Jeff Foxworthy! In this video I read a page from his book You Might Be a Redneck If….This is The Biggest Book You’ve Ever Read.
i have actually used foodstamps on a date. what do the kiddos say these days? no cap.
i never said i didnt like the man😜. growing up was very restricted. no tv. puritannical stuff. i have a HUGE list of stuff every takes for granted. like access to tv and video games and electricity in general.
My parents divorced when I was a kid & my dad remarried within a couple years (I believe they just celebrated their 30th anniversary this spring). My stepmom had previously been married, but her 1st husband died, so she was rather sentimental about some of her belongings from her first marriage. Her 80s wooden console TV was moved to the next house in the late 90s, & played its last show a few years later. It continued service as the new entertainment center before finally being retired, I think in 2019.
Seeing Foxworthy as a kid pissed...me....off! Not at Jeff, but just in general. Because I had just spent 5-6 teaching myself NOT to sound like that because EVERYONE made of fun of me, and he is just gonna come on stage and TALK LIKE THAT! And be funny! Oh, I was pissed! Pissed at the world, and myself because still didn't have the balls to talk like I was raised.

Love it! Jeff's great. I also like Ron White's spit and vitriol combined with telling on himself. hahahahaa

OMG, I forgot how funny he was. Thank you for reading these jokes. Love you.
I laughed so hard. My mother in law had her new tv on top of her old one. She NEVER considered herself a redneck, but she obviously was.🤣
PS: My grandma's new TV sat on top of her old console TV too!!

Quite interesting! I would have never given a thought to the construction of a joke . Very cool
