Hidy y'all! this week Corey tells Trae a bit about the weather condition on his beach vacation, and then the boys talk about how absolutely HAMMERED West Virginia's basketball coach got this week. Then, seeing as how he's got a new movie announced, the boys talk a little Quentin Tarantino!
I was in Atlanta picking up my car from the valet. There were a couple of huge black men just getting out of their car, having fun, and calling each other Nigger. And doing it very loudly. I suppose I was in my late 50s and the caricature of a fat white woman. I went up to one of them and tugged on his sleeve. I said something to the effect of "If y'all were white guys I would come over here and call you out for this. I decided that I should do it even though you are Black, even if you are having fun, even if we both know there is a difference between you saying it to each other and some redneck leaning out of his 25 year old pickup and shouting it at you. The thing is, as long as you do this, I will forever hear "well that is what they call each other." So be like Richard Pryor. Stop it. Find another word.
Also "From Dusk Till Dawn" was a collaboration between Tarantino and Rodriquez. Both wrote the screenplay. Tarantino 1st half and Rodriquez 2nd half. And it's obvious!
