(DONT WORRY I PULLED OVER TO UPLOAD AND TYPE THIS 🤣🤣🤣 I know how y’all worry bout me) Headed home from a show with Leslie Jones and felt like talking a little more about what EVERYONE is talking about….. the very unnecessary and completely avoidable deaths of 5 billionaires due in large part to hubris.
I think us all are feeling, “these billionaires flushing their dollars down the toilet because it’s fun for them” is F them! Here we are thinking hard about rent/mortgage, food, gas, doctor appointment, school. We have no problem watching these billionaires fucking around and finding out.
More money than sense, I guess. Just because you *can* do something, does it always mean you *should*?
The only one I feel bad for is the kid. I don't even feel bad for the one who was part of the original Titanic wreckage discovery. Out of all of them, second to the CEO that was responsible for ignoring multiple safety measures, he should have known it was too risky. And all to look at it on a tiny monitor just to say you were bobbing around the wreckage while doing so? It obviously wasn't worth it, not that they can say one way or the other. Then again, they signed those worthless waivers warning them multiple times that it could result in death, so I suppose it was?
For the kid, I'm glad it was likely a painless, no-idea-it-was-coming-until-it-was-over death. If they knew it was coming and just had to wait for the inevitable catastrophic failure, I can't fathom the terror they must have felt.
Did the CEO get the legendary status he was going for? Looks like it, but likely not the way he'd hoped.
Totally agree on your thoughts about the Titan. Love Janet Williams! I've seen her at Comedy Catch but got to meet her through my dear friend Jerry Harvey. Love all your content keep it coming!
Dude, I am at Physical therapy Thursday when someone mentions this submersible situation and 3 of us make some snide remarks so we all knew we were in a safe space. Within 5 min the music goes quiet, and suddenly the theme from titanic comes on. Celine Dion starts singing and involuntarily I pop off with, "In memorandum of the OceanGate 5" and fucking crack myself up. I have a collection of memes that hit but I feel somewhat awkward posting them!
The other lesson from Titanic: The Next Generation is stay out of the ocean; that is Godzilla's domain and he guards it jealously indeed. Those that have fucked around, yea but they have most assuredly found out.
As a woman, we tend to sacrifice ourselves for our loved ones. However, If we do this too much we fuck everything up

For real tho RIP to that poor kid.
I can’t wait to see Annie Fatneck Jones!
You spoke truth about those dumb, arrogant billionaires.
