Brett Favre, Pat Mcafee, and The Barbara Streisand Effect!

Listen now (32 min) | The Brett Favre welfare fraud scandal is back in the news after Favre’s team announced they would be suing Pat Mcafee for comments he made about the scandal on his podcast. What does this have to do with Barbara Streisand? Listen as I make the connection!
In the early 60’s LBJ and the Democratic dominated Congress passed a number of laws to help people out of poverty. They expanded food and medical assistance, and many other things to improve job training and community outreach.
When Reagan was elected, he and the Republican dominated Congress changed some of those laws to give the States the ability to choose how our federal dollars would be spent in each State. That’s why Mississippi could manipulate those funds.
It’s time we all start engaging in our democracy more- voting, all of us, in every electionOtherwise we won’t get the things us common folk need.
In the last couple of years more laws have been passed that help the common folk since LBJ’s days. Thanks to people engaging in ‘20 and ‘22. Let’s keep it up and expand it.
Well, you have done the impossible. You have made me want to listen to a sports podcast and if you knew how little I cared about professional sports, you would realize what an accomplishment this is. Bless you, and I am coming to the Asheville show.
One car to the family? Try taking the bus. You will meet the working poor with babies and grocery carts and exhaustion. You will also meet the strapping young men suffering from DUI convictions. It surely makes you appreciate your privileged life.
Omg! I was thinking about this the other day and wondered why he hasn't been in the news. You're right if he'd only kept his mouth shut. Can't waiting for the next piece of the puzzle. Spot on Corey.
So Brett farve is trying to sue for defamation? Does he not know that winning a defamation lawsuit in America is extremely difficult? It's such a waste for him to do this lol
As a Wisconsinite & a life-long Packer fan, I plead guilty to giving Favre the benefit of the doubt too many times on too many issues. But taking food out of children's mouths was a bridge too far for me. I donated all the #4 gear I had to Goodwill and I am done with him. Too often, we realize our heroes have feet of clay.
I just realized y’all never did a pigskin picnic about the superbowl, but I did listen to John Reep’s podcast & he started complaining that they shouldn’t have hired Rih Rih bc she was too pregnant to move around enough for him & I turned off that motherfucking podcast right then n will never listen to it again. You’re welcome for me being a demanding, entitled free-subscriber, btw.

There's the Below the Line challenge. You have to eat on a below the Poverty line budget for like a month.
I don't think any if them congresscucks would survive.

Another good substack for basic decent sane people.

One car family- works okay. But can be frustrating.
