I’m a comedian, but I wouldn’t really call what I do “writing jokes”. I mean sure, I tell jokes, but they are usually punchlines peppered in to a 15 minute bit that sometimes work on their own, but are all pieces to a puzzle that I’m trying to solve in front of the audience! I’ve always had trouble when someone says “hey you’re a comedian… tell me a joke!” (Please don’t do that btw lol)
my favorite knock-knock joke is also a subversion, in the sense that it stops any knock-knock joke in its tracks:
“knock knock”
“come in” :)
Love it! Joke, Zen koan, social commentary, and philosophical question in one well-acted skit!
