I mean, I'm female and I know horsepower and torque because I've shopped for automobiles and refuse to buy a car that doesn't have enough get-up-and-go, but yea we don't need to read all that 😄
The Trans Am was cool and all but my little redneck heart was given only to the Kenworth Big Rig. I LOVED that truck, had a toy one. I wanted to be a big rig driver SO MUCH when I was little.
LOL brother it's all good. I'm almost 60 and my step dad and uncle raised me around these cars Don't fret over not knowing all the details. The fact that you brought up the Trans Am Firebird is good enough for me!
I should have buckled up for that ride. A lot to unpack. I was a HUGE NASCAR (Jeff Gordon) fan for a long time…like, taught kindergarten m-f, hopped on a plane to Richmond, Atlanta, Charlotte, etc on the weekend by myself to go to races. The day Earnhardt died is a very sad core memory…I remember for a long time after, the lap 3 tributes where the announcers were silent and the fans stood with three fingers in the air for the duration of the lap. 😢
And I happen to be the only child of one of the best (now retired) mechanics in central Louisiana, so I actually am a girl who did know all that gobbledygook you were spouting about the Trans Am engines. 😜
Coolest car ever…if I had been a little older in 1977, I’d probably have gotten pregnant in a Trans-Am.
And wow! That cut from blonde beard to dark beard has me shooketh! Was really digging the slow metamorphosis into Kenny Rogers.
Hope the family drama gets dialed down and y’all have a fabulous time at Disney!
Child, whut-in-thee HELL? You changed your beard color AGAIN?! And it's the first day (officially) of summer! Is this going to be a seasonal thing?
Loved "Smokey and the Bandit"!!! I'm planning to go to imdb and find some of the quotes.
I'm older than your dad... thanks, I was already depressed, but this is the cherry on top of the cow pie.
I was once given a ride in a vintage Rolls-Royce (silver lady hood ornament and all!) A magnificent car and I gather it was an extremely effective pussy magnet for the owner. He sort of looked like Harpo Marx and he was not afflicted with anything resembling tact, propriety, or patience. I accepted a ride from this horndog and after a mere twenty minutes, he pulled over next to a promising field of alfalfa, grabbed my hand and said "Let's go for a walk!"
I went into Advanced Nope Mode at that point -- I may have only been seventeen, but Mama didn't raise no fools.
Anybody in Atlanta want to go to "My Favorite Mechanic Is a Woman" and show CHO what's up? 😄

I like this series and I love your fun facts 😂
Here’s what I know about cars: “what do I owe you, Naider? $1081.23? Fine, put it on the Amex.”

And a shout-out to Jerry Reed and Fred!
"my hat blew off, Daddy..."
According to imdb, this movie was a guilty pleasure of Alfred Hitchcock according to his daughter, Patricia Hitchcock.
